The Dinner with Docs 2026 Series Is Here

There's only so much you can learn about a career from just studying. How does it feel like to run a rural practice? How do you build a panel of patients you'll know for decades? Why choose family medicine after considering other specialties? Those are the conversations Dinner with Docs was built for, and this fall we're bringing them to five cities across BC.

Dinner with Docs gives med students the chance to meet with family physicians who practice in varied settings. The format is casual and conversational, enjoying a good meal in a small group, while asking all the questions you want.

Five Cities in 2026

We're hosting five events this season:

• Victoria, October 1 - Register now
• Prince George, October 5 - Register now
• Vancouver, October 14 - Register now
• Kelowna, October 26 - Register now
• Surrey, November 2 - Register now

All events run from 6:30 to 8:00 pm and are open to UBC and SFU medical students. Each one is intentionally small, so the conversation stays personal and every student gets real time with the physicians in the room.

Spots are limited and tend to go quickly, so if you're even a little curious, register sooner rather than later. If an event fills up, you'll be added to a waitlist.
