Board Update: Your Leadership Team for the Year Ahead
Posted On January 22, 2026The first BCCFP Board meeting of 2026 was a welcome and energizing start to the year, bringing our family physician leaders together to focus on supporting you and strengthening family medicine across BC.
The meeting also marked a new chapter of leadership! We’re excited to introduce your Executive for the year ahead:
- Dr. Jennifer Lush - President
- Dr. Johnny Chang - President-Elect
- Dr. H. Thomas Peters - Treasurer
- Dr. Ana Boskovic - Secretary
- Dr. Katherine Bell - Past President
We're also proud to recognize our representatives serving on CFPC committees:
- Dr. Amyna Fidai - BC Representative on the Family Medicine Forum Committee, and BC Representative on the First Five Years of Practice Committee at CFPC
- Dr. Vincent Wong - Representative on the National Committee on Continuing Professional Development (NCCPD)
The transition of the presidency was facilitated by CFPC President Dr. Sarah Cook, highlighting the important connections between provincial leadership and the national family medicine community.
The day also created space for reflection and learning on Indigenous cultural safety, humility, and equity in health care - led by Dr. Willow Thickson, our Indigenous Physician Lead.
