Save the date: BCCFP 2026 Awards Celebration
The BCCFP 2026 Awards Celebration will be happening on May 8, 2026! More details to come soon. The BCCFP Awards Celebration brings together the family medicine community to recognize our award recipients, including BC Family Physician of the Year and the patient-nominated My Family Doctor Award recipients.
Dinner With Docs
Each year, we invite UBC medical students to Dinner with Docs, an evening of informal, small group discussion with family physicians from across the province.
Celebrating BC Family Doctor Month
Family physicians are there through life’s biggest moments - supporting patients through every stage of life. They build long-term relationships, provide comprehensive care, and advocate for better health outcomes in every corner of our province. Their impact is so much more than individual appointments, it ripples through families, communities, and generations. That’s why this year, we expanded BC Family Doctor Day into BC Family Doctor Month.
Family Medicine Forum
We participated in CFPC’s Family Medicine Forum (FMF) 2025, which took place November 5th to the 8th. FMF is Canada’s largest and most comprehensive annual conference for family physicians.
We engaged directly with hundreds of family physicians from across the country, gathering insights on shared challenges and growth opportunities. These conversations reinforced what we know: family physicians nationwide face similar pressures around administrative burden, practice sustainability, and the need for stronger recognition of their role in healthcare delivery.
