This annual peer-nominated award recognizes a family physician who provides exemplary care to patients and takes part in activities that contribute to excellence in family medicine.
Nomination Criteria
- Equitable and Compassionate Care
- Advocates strongly for patient and community needs
- Goes above and beyond in providing direct patient care
- Community Engagement
- Is involved in community medical services or organizations
- Contributes to their local community
- Leadership
- Is involved in advocacy efforts for the betterment of family medicine
- Spearheads projects/initiatives/research
- Professionalism
- Has a commitment to learning
- Is involved in mentorship or teaching
Please note that nominees must be a BCCFP member and have a minimum of 2 nominations (maximum of 3). Self-nominations will not be considered. BCCFP Board Directors are not eligible.
