An online Stroke and TIA e-learning Module, intended to assist you in learning to assess, grade and react to key symptoms of TIA's and to initiate management of strokes, is now available (estimated time is 10-15 minutes).

Recipients will attend a special reception where they will be presented with their awards.  They will also receive complimentary registration to the 2010 Family Medicine Forum in Vancouver, October 14-16, 2010.  Congratulations to all the award winners!

UBC Family Medicine Research Day Award Recipients 

Each year the BCCFP sponsors the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Medicine, Postgraduate Program's Resident Research Day.  At this event, second year family medicine residents present their research projects to fellow residents, faculty and guests.

The goal of this event is to:

  • contribute to the knowledge base of family medicine
  • develop and promote an interest in family medicine research
  • stimulate original and creative thought based on questions encountered during practice
