About Us - Mission
The British Columbia College of Family Physicians (BCCFP) is a Chapter of
The College of Family Physicians of Canada,
a national voluntary organization of
family physicians that represents family physicians/general practitioners in the discipline of Family Medicine. The BCCFP represents over 2,500 family physicians in British Columbia.
Our
Mission is to support the highest quality of
health care in British Columbia by:

Providing and
accrediting continuing professional development programs and
promoting life long learning for family physicians

Encouraging family
physicians to maintain professional competence through certification
in Family Medicine

Advocating for the
central role of the family physician in primary care
